TC Young announces promotion of Neil Matheson to partner

Solicitors TC Young have announced the promotion of Neil Matheson, to partner.

Neil, who is based in the Edinburgh office, joined the firm as a trainee in 2015. He initially worked in the firm’s housing-litigation team, focusing on landlord-and-tenant disputes.

On qualifying in 2017, Neil joined the dispute-resolution team and was promoted to senior associate in 2023.

He is regularly instructed by other solicitors in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK, to act as Court of Session agent in complex litigation matters.

In 2024, he was named associate solicitor of the year at the inaugural Scottish Professional Awards.
