An online magazine for and about small businesses, micro businesses, sole traders, freelancers - and bigger businesses
We love to hear your good news, and your press releases are very welcome.
If writing press releases is new to you, we’re here to give you some tips.
A well-written press release will help yours stand out from the many others that publications receive.
First up, it needs to be newsworthy and recent.
An eye-catching headline is good.
It also needs to follow the path of ‘who, what, where, when, why and how’, to create a clear storyline.
Avoid ‘puff’ and stick to facts.
Numbers are great. So are quotes.
Additional info goes in notes to editor.
Before you send it, check it for typos.
Hope this helps – and if you’d like a template to get you started, let us know at hello@businesslifeedinburgh.com.
