There’s more than one way to see the historic town of Linlithgow. The Canal Centre runs boat trips on the Union Canal, including a 25-minute cruise, where you can see the town as you sail by. The trips are available on weekend afternoons until 29 September and cost £6. You don’t need to book in advance – it’s first come, first served. While you’re there, you could also visit the Canal Centre museum – said to be the only one of its kind in Scotland. There’s a tearoom too Welcome - Linlithgow Canal Centre (lucs.org.uk) .
