Private dining in a distillery

Edinburgh is not short of great restaurants to choose from, but sometimes you just want to get out of town. And you don’t have to travel too far, to try something different.  Just about an hour’s drive away, the Lindores Abbey Distillery in Newburgh, Fife offers private dining for groups of up to 12 people at its restaurant, The Apothecary. A sample menu features smoked pheasant rillettes; beef fillet with whisky sauce; and bread, butter and chocolate pudding with marmalade ice cream.
