Gerry’s expertise helps businesses sell their services more productively. So, what’s his top tip for success, that applies to every business – large or small? Find out below.

Name:

Gerry Forristal

Name of business:

Gerry Forristal - B2B Buyer Behaviour and Value Articulation Consultant

When established:

2008

What services do you offer and who do you offer them to?

I work primarily with businesses that sell specialised services or market intelligence to other businesses. My role is to help them effectively communicate their value to potential clients.

Share with us a few examples of projects you’ve completed recently:

It's been a great year so far. Following a few years in the financial-services sector, I'm now collaborating with a London-based travel company that offers premium, bespoke itineraries to trade, and direct to consumers, with a special focus on Latin America. I’ve also had the privilege of working with OutBritain, the UK's first LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce: in June, I ran a workshop at their Global Business Summit in London, which was an amazing experience.

What do you enjoy most about your work and why?

I love what I do. It’s a joy working with teams, helping them to create frameworks that enable the business to better communicate its value, resonate with clients' needs and demonstrate the benefits it offers.

Who is your dream client and why?

I'm extremely fortunate to work with a wide range of businesses and founders. I've developed a framework that can be applied to both small and large businesses. With my experience of working with the UK's vibrant, diverse and creative LGBTQ+ business community, I'm especially keen to collaborate with more of its entrepreneurs and business owners.

What do you plan to achieve before the end of the year?

I would love to take on more speaking opportunities. I thoroughly enjoy engaging with audiences and providing them with effective tools for improving their business, that they can implement right away.

What’s your top tip for business success

Focus on customer experience. Prioritise delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with your clients. Happy customers are more likely to return and refer others to your business.

What’s your favourite Edinburgh restaurant?

Restaurant Martin Wishart on the Shore in Leith. Their tasting menu changes seasonally and never disappoints!

What’s your favourite drink and where do you like to drink it?

I enjoy a crisp white wine. While I don’t have a regular local bar, I frequently meet close friends at a charming spot called The Last Word on St Stephen Street in Stockbridge.

Where will we find you at the weekend and why?

The cinema, I love the movies!
