Brown Shipley appoints new Edinburgh-based wealth planner

A new, Edinburgh-based wealth planner has been welcomed to wealth and investment-management and lending specialist, Brown Shipley. Robbie Hewitt, a qualified financial planner, with more than 10 years’ financial-services experience, joins from Edinburgh wealth-management and corporate-solutions firm, JKFS.
He will report to Gordon Scott, head of private bank – north, who said: “Robbie brings significant relevant experience to Brown Shipley, which he will put to work in collaboration with our client advisers to support the long-term wealth-management priorities of our clients.”
Commenting on his new role, Robbie said: “I look forward to working closely with my colleagues across our eight UK offices, to best deliver for our clients.”
He added: “Brown Shipley combines a highly personalised approach and the ability to leverage skills and experience across Quintet, our parent company. I am excited to join this historic firm.”
Brown Shipley first opened its doors in 1810. As well as the Edinburgh office, on Multrees Walk, the firm also has offices in London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Norwich and Nottingham.
Its parent company is Luxembourg-based Quintet Private Bank, which operates in 50 European cities.
