Edinburgh food hall, Bonnie & Wild has seating for 400 people from 9am to 9pm (9.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays).
But it’s not only known for its food and drink. On the last Thursday of every month, it hosts the ‘White Heather Club’ ceilidh. The next one is on 28 November, from 8-11pm, with a break in the middle.
You can expect classic dances such as the Dashing White Sergeant, the Orcadian Strip the Willow and the Gay Gordons, with music supplied by ceilidh band, The Charlie Kirkpatrick Trio.
Charlie is also the caller, so if you don’t know the moves, he’ll be providing the instructions.
Prizes feature too: vouchers and other goodies are awarded to standout dancers.
Kate Russell, Bonnie & Wild general manager, said: “We launched the White Heather Club in August 2022, and ever since, our ceilidh nights have proved hugely popular with locals and tourists alike.
“These free events celebrate Scottish culture, with hundreds of dancers coming along to enjoy traditional Scottish music and ceilidh dancing, to make friends and to have a great evening.
“The White Heather Club has become one of Edinburgh's most popular and best-loved nights out,” she added.
The ceilidh takes place on level 4 of the St James Quarter.
